Breaking Industry News:
At Anita’s Organic, we have been working diligently to keep pricing competitive for our valued customers. This has been challenging as a result of the volatile grain commodity market and rapidly rising current market rates, making for unprecedented price increases that take effect immediately for us as buyers.
Here at Anita’s Organic we are doing everything we can to limit the price increases you see on the shelf, and we are wholly commited to hold off passing cost increases on to you as long as we are financially able. We will continue to work closely with the growers to ensure stable pricing for as long as possible. We remain optimistic that the coming year's crop should help to replenish the dwindled global market's grain supply and allow for more stability in the price of grain.

Anita's Organic Mission and History
More and more people want to avoid synthetic chemicals and pesticides in their food to improve their overall health and well-being. Eating organically grown foods is a fantastic way to help do this. Our mission is to provide the highest quality, certified organic, grains and fresh stone-ground flours to our customers at fair prices.
Our stone-mill utilizes the latest in flow-through technology but keeps the old-world tradition of fresh, stone ground quality. Our inventory is replenished every 10 days, so when we say fresh ground, we mean fresh. The stone-mill allows us to control the temperature, the fineness of the grind and the mixing of the flours. The low temperature is essential for the preservation of nutrients, texture, and flavour of the flour.
Anita’s Organic Grain and Flour Mill is celebrating 15 years of organic growth and development. In
April of 2000 we opened a new facility in Chilliwack, British Columbia, and in the same year the new stone-mills were put into production. This has effectively quadrupled our output capacity. By optimizing both our original grinders and our new larger grinders, it allows us to provide large bulk order and specialty products such as Kamut®, spelt, and cereals, without disruption or any chance of cross-contamination.
Since we never grind anything but certified organic grains, there is no possibility of cross contamination with conventionally grown grains.
Anita and Andy Mosimann, after 15 years of hard work, and dedicated care to the growth of not only their business, but also to the greater organic community have sold their company as of October 2005. The new, local ownership is excited to carry on their legacy of commitment to quality and customer care for years to come. We are open for business as usual and will gladly discuss any questions you may have.
